Interior Designer needed for high end home furnishing store


Fast paced Interior Design/Retail based firm is searching for TOP DESIGN AND SALES TALENT to deliver world class designs to our clients. You will create fabulous Master Design plans and successfully close sales for not only local high-end residential clients but clients from across the nation.

Your design skills must be of the highest caliber, your ability to connect and close large design projects proven, and you must have an air of self confidence others notice when they meet you. A draw against commission is a positive for you as you know your abilities and would prefer to earn what you are worth rather than be limited to a salary.

You will need a great eye for design, color, fabrics, space planning and accessorization. The ideal candidate should possess proven retail sales success, coupled with design experience and excellent communication skills. A degree in interior design or equivalent is preferred.

They offer a comprehensive medical and dental plan and, a variety of other coverage options plus, a generous discount on their products. You will be paid a base salary plus commission. Commission is paid on written sales (at 7% with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.) Average first year $45-90K

Their most successful consultants have a high energy level and are self-confident. They are creative and can communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. They typically have some high-quality retail sales experience and enjoy achieving both individual and team goals. Their ideal candidates enjoy the learning process and have a passion for personal growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
?Welcome and engage visitors and offer a great shopping experience
?Assess customer needs and develop creative master plan to meet needs
?Make in-home visits as necessary to assess and fulfill customer needs
?Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers and customer
?Continue professional development by utilizing all resources and joining professional associations to stay current
QUALIFICATIONS
?3-5 years sales experience
?Must have home furnishings experience or interior design
?Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to meet customer needs
?Customer service oriented
?High school diploma or equivalent
?Detail-oriented
?Flexible
?Positive attitude
?Strong work ethic and desire to succeed
?Willingness to work 2 evenings until 8 and weekends
(10-6 Sat, 12-5 Sun)
